Youth ambassadors for road safety workshop end a busy year of activities

Youth ambassadors for road safety receive certificates of appreciation from AIP Foundation

Over 90 participants from AIP Foundation’s partner universities, relevant government ministries, non-governmental organizations and representatives from the business  sector attended the reflection workshop to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the youth ambassadors on their work and commitment to the program over the past year. Youth Ambassadors for Road Safety (YARS) from the three partner universities – Phnom Penh International University (PPIU), University of Cambodia (UC) and Asia Euro University (AEU) presented at the workshop to discuss strategies for enhancing the YARS program, lessons learnt, challenges and to present results and outcomes. This workshop was an important opportunity to discuss the sustainability of the program which ends in December.

The forum highlighted a year of activities, community outreach, major events and advocacy for the young ambassadors and each participant received a commendation from AIP Foundation for their accomplishments. University facilitators of the program and the universities were also acknowledged for the support given to the YARS program throughout the year.

Also in attendance, H.E Min Meanvy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, a senior representative from Commission of National Police and  a senior representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, who presented on the impact of the YARS program.
