Stakeholders met to review results achieved after the end of a four-year project in Quang Binh. 69 participants attended including representatives of the school board, teachers and parents from 16 project schools, the Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Transportation Department, the Deputy Director of the Quang Binh Department of Education and Training, Quang Binh Pc67, and representatives of 5 project districts’ Bureau of Education and Training.

At the meeting, participants discussed lessons learned and provided a short training on how to use the newly issued school guidelines–10 selected schools will be monitored to measure the effect of the school guidelines in May 2016. Local partners and schools thanked AIP Foundation and Johnson & Johnson for their continued support and commitment to student safety. Although the project has closed for 16 project schools, discussion continues for encouraging parents to purchase helmets for students in the coming years as well as keeping activities at schools consistent to maintain a high helmet use rate. AIP Foundation will continue to provide helmets to 1st grade students at a subsidized price for the 2016-2017 school year.
