Traffic Safety Day festival makes helmet education exciting

February 10, 2015

Mr. Joseph McKillips, Sr. Manager, Commercial Program Support, Global Environment, Health, and Safety for Abbott plays road safety games with students. These activities reinforce previous interventions by AIP Foundation.

On February 10, a helmet-themed Traffic Safety Day festival was held at Truong Dinh Primary School in District 12, educating 867 students on road safety through a variety of interactive festivities.

As part of AIP Foundation’s Helmets for Families program, the event included road safety activity booths, on-stage games, performances, and helmet-wearing demonstrations. This is the second year that Helmets for Families, supported by Abbott and in partnership with the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC), Ministry of Education and Training (MoET), and local traffic authorities, is enforcing quality helmet use among students and their parents. The festivities were attended by Abbott Headquarters representatives.

Students thoroughly enjoyed playing and competing in road safety activities with these Abbott special visitors.
