Students use artwork to express the lessons learned through the Safety Delivered program in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – April 4, 2022

In celebration of the continuation of our signature Safety Delivered program, supported by The UPS Foundation, we are proud to announce the winners of the helmet safety drawing contest in Ho Chi Minh City! In total, we received over 74 unique pieces of artwork from the students.  Please see our photo album below to see the winning drawings.

Students from five projects across Ho Chi Minh City entered the drawing contest. Each class was encouraged to draw a picture in their classroom following the topic: “Correct helmet wear – Safety Delivered”. All students were given full free creative reign to draw what safe helmets represent to them. Some chose to draw, and use colored pencils, and others chose oil crayons and colored paper.  Once students completed their drawings, the UPS volunteers from UPS Vietnam had the all-important job to select the best drawings.

In this extracurricular activity as part of the Safety Delivered program, students are learning the importance of wearing a helmet to protect themselves.  It also gave the students an opportunity to reflect on the lessons learned during the program and express their own ideas on helmet safety by creating their own artwork.

Safety Delivered is a program implemented by AIP Foundation to work with primary school students and motorcyclists in high-risk areas in India, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam – by educating children and youth on safe driving skills as well as increasing helmet use among children.
