Students enjoy interactive learning activities on road safety in Bangkok

November 8, 2022

 BANGKOK, Thailand – November 8, 2022

As part of the Hauling Safety program, supported by Toll Group, students at Soonruamnamjai School received safety equipment to keep them safer on the roads. The school is located in traffic-dense Bangkok and students are often at risk while traveling to and from school on motorbikes.

The equipment included: a set of volunteer traffic police equipment to ensure students are aware of the laws and a set of road safety education materials with creative colors and paint to encourage students to learn creatively about road safety. There was also an installation of traffic signs in front of the school to ensure that parents and passersby follow the road rules when entering the school area.

The students learnt more about road safety and how to better protect themselves on the road. As part of the Hauling Safety program, we are impacting individual schools, creating a lasting legacy of a new and safer road user generation across Bangkok.

More about the Hauling Safety program

Since 2020, AIP Foundation has partnered with Toll Group to implement the Hauling Safety program in Thailand, aimed at supporting communities in tackling high-risk journeys for students traveling to and from school through quality safety education and equipment for students, parents, and community members. At the core of this Hauling Safety program, activities are empowering and engaging our youth to be safer road users. The program is inherently aligned with the Global Plan and Thailand’s National Road Safety plan.
