Street Wise prepares for expansion to 10 new schools in southern Thailand

Teachers from the 10 new Street Wise program schools convene to discuss the upcoming initiative.

Teachers from the 10 new Street Wise program schools gathered to prepare for the upcoming initiative, which will provide 1,200 helmets to students in Songkhla Province. Currently, no students at the target schools wear helmets while riding on motorcycles to and from school. In addition to providing quality helmets, Street Wise will teachers on how to effectively educate their students about the importance of wearing helmets through engaging road safety lessons. Phase 2 of the program will officially launch during a ceremony on 14 June, 2017, at Singhanakhon City Hall. The program is a partnership between Chevron and AIP Foundation. It launched in the southern Thai province in 2014.
