Thiratee Chaijaree, AIP Foundation Program Officer, recently gave a presentation on the Street Wise project at the Second Southern Region Seminar: Lessons Learned to Advance Road Safety in Phuket, which aimed to encourage exchange of best practices and mutual learning. The two-day seminar was held by the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Regional Center 12 Songkhla (DPMRC12) and focused on two key areas: the mechanisms of the DPMRC and crash investigation as well as child road safety and measures in educational institutions. In addition to AIP Foundation, other attendees included public health and local administration officials and health professionals. In total, there were 130 participants from 14 southern provinces of Thailand.
The Street Wise Phase III project, implemented in 11 schools and supported by Chevron Thailand, aims to improve the road safety knowledge and skills of students, parents, teachers and community members in Songkhla province.
