HANOI, Vietnam – April 22, 2026

On the occasion of Earth Day, Vietnam Airlines officially launched the “Green Alliance – Sustainable Development” (the Green Alliance), marking a significant shift in its approach to sustainability. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration and coordination of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) efforts in alignment with international standards. As a partner in spreading humanitarian values through the Thien Nhan & Friends program, Sir Greig Craft, Founder and President of AIP Foundation attended the event.

The launch event brought together representatives from government agencies, international organizations, and strategic partners engaged in sustainable development initiatives. Attendees included leaders from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation, the Traffic Police Department, as well as international partners such as SkyTeam, Facing The World, Operation Smile, AIP Foundation, and domestic social enterprises.

Green Alliance was initiated by Vietnam Airlines as a voluntary cooperation model, connecting domestic and foreign partners to form a platform for connecting and coordinating sustainable development initiatives.

With the message “Fly high on sustainable aspirations”, this model aims for a harmonious development approach, in which economic growth goes hand in hand with responsibility to the environment, society and future generations.

The launch of the Green Alliance represents a key milestone in operationalizing Vietnam Airlines’ sustainability strategy. It provides a collaborative framework for partners to align efforts, enhance impact, and deliver more coordinated and effective ESG initiatives.

Through this initiative, Vietnam Airlines reaffirms its role as a national carrier committed to driving positive environmental and social change, while contributing to sustainable development both in Vietnam and globally.
