The POSS Program convened meetings with the Provincial Road Safety Committees to gather inputs on the proposed Factory-Level Road Safety Policy and discuss the road safety situation, particularly risks faced by factory workers during their daily commutes.

RSWG members disseminate information during lunch time.
The meetings brought together Deputy Governors and relevant provincial and district-level departments from areas where target factories are located. Participants provided valuable inputs on the policy’s scope, implementation approach, and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. They expressed strong support for the initiative and welcomed the proposal to engage all factories in the provinces in the pilot implementation.
Throughout August 2026, the POSS Program conducted refresher training at target factories for Road Safety Working Groups (RSWGs), supervisors and Speak Up Champions. The sessions provided updates on the current road safety situation, identified knowledge gaps, and strengthened participants’ ability to disseminate key road safety messages effectively.
The training also focused on improving the effectiveness of helmet safety awareness and enforcement. For Speak Up Champions, the sessions further strengthened their advocacy and communication skills, enabling them to engage more effectively with stakeholders, factory management, and drivers, while promoting safer driver behavior and supporting the transition from unsafe to safer worker transport vehicles.
