Johnson & Johnson has highlighted Helmets for Kids in its annual Health for Humanity Report. Since 2012, AIP Foundation and Johnson & Johnson have partnered to provide helmets and road safety education to students at schools throughout central and southern Vietnam through the Helmets for Kids program. For the 2018-2019 school year, continued its programming at 31 project schools throughout Vietnam.
During the school year, the program distributed 5,181 standard helmets, with 5,075 fully donated and 106 subsidized helmets to students across four provinces. Child helmet use rates increased to above 95% on average from as low as 9.7% in some provinces. Helmets for Kids will continue operating from 2019 to 2021 and will expand to further provinces.
