SONGKHLA, Thailand - September 22, 2026

Students in Songkhla are gaining greater access to road safety education and protective equipment through the Chevron Street Wise project, as Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited and AIP Foundation continue their efforts to build a stronger culture of road safety among children.

As part of the initiative, Chevron representatives visited three participating schools —Wichianchom School, Ban Khao Daeng (Rat Upatam) School, and Wat Prem Sattha School — to visit their Road Safety Learning Corners and support the distribution of safety helmets to students.

The visit provided an opportunity for Chevron to see how road safety education is being delivered at the school level and to engage with educators supporting the initiative.

The Road Safety Learning Corners provide dedicated spaces for students to develop practical knowledge about safe road use, traffic discipline, correct helmet use, safe crossing and road hazards. The classrooms are designed to support continued road safety education and help students apply what they learn in their daily lives.

As part of the project, 200 safety helmets are being provided across 11 project schools, helping students access appropriate protective equipment while reinforcing the importance of helmet use.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Suban Sungsuwan, Songkhla Onshore Workshop Manager at Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Limited, highlighted Chevron's commitment to safety and the importance of developing safe behaviors from an early age.

“Safety has always been a core value that Chevron upholds in its operations, and we believe that building a sustainable safety culture must begin at a young age.”

He noted that the Chevron Street Wise project was established to promote knowledge, traffic discipline and safe road use, with the aim of protecting children and supporting safer communities in Songkhla Province.

The helmet donation and support for the Road Safety Learning Corners form part of Chevron’s continued commitment to the Songkhla community. The initiative also reflects the importance of collaboration between Chevron, AIP Foundation, schools, teachers and local educators in delivering sustained road safety education.

By combining practical road safety education with access to protective equipment, the Chevron Street Wise project is helping children build safer habits that can extend beyond the classroom — supporting safer journeys to school and contributing to a stronger culture of road safety across the community.
