HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam – September 6, 2025

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, organized a series of Vietnam – U.S. friendship festivals to celebrate landmarks in Vietnam – U.S. relations. The events commemorated 30 years of diplomatic relations, the 50th anniversary of the end of the war between the two countries, and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Viet – U.S. Friendship Association (the predecessor of today’s Vietnam – U.S. Society).

AIP Foundation participated in the festival held at Le Loi Street in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6. Festivals also took place in Da Nang, Hanoi, and Can Tho. Activities included exhibitions showcasing progress in cooperation, as well as art and culture. At each festival, amongst 25-30 exhibition booths, one booth was dedicated to the demonstration of U.S. NGO projects and activities. At the NGO booth, AIP Foundation was represented by Phong Le, Country Manager for Vietnam, and Uyen Tran, Program Assistant.
