AIP Foundation conducted a capacity building training on November 16, 2012 for teachers running the practice at the Safe Kids Vietnam Traffic Safety Park. Sponsored by Fedex, the 1,700m 2 traffic safety park built in 2010 provides a realistic and interactive setting for students to practice pedestrian safety.

31 teachers from as many primary schools in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province participated in the training. From December 24th to January 19th, trained teachers will take turns bringing their students to the traffic safety park on Saturdays. These practices will to educate as many as 1,550 students. Combined with Safe Kids Walk this Way’s other initiatives, the traffic safety park has already reached nearly 30,000 Vietnamese children at 38 schools.
