HAI DUONG, Vietnam – October 15, 2024

Ford Vietnam, in collaboration with AIP Foundation, the National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) and the Hai Duong Traffic Safety Committee (TSC) hosted an engaging Road Safety Day that aimed to raise awareness about road safety and safe mobility skills among students and the local community. The event was marked by a series of informative and fun-filled activities, drawing participants from various sectors, including local government officials, donors, and school representatives.

Safeguarding students on their way to school

The day kicked off with an inspiring opening ceremony featuring speeches from key stakeholders, including representatives from the NTSC, local government, and donors, as well as school representatives. During the event, Ms. Trinh Thu Ha, Deputy Chief of the National Traffic Safety Commmitee emphasized the importance of road safety education, urging students to prioritize safety as they navigate their daily school journeys.

Following the opening ceremony, Hai Duong TSC led an informative session that engaged students in interactive discussions about road safety rules and practices while using the road. The activities aimed to equip students with essential knowledge to help them stay safe on the roads. In addition, students participated in a range of extracurricular activities centered on road safety. These hands-on experiences included interactive games and demonstrations designed to reinforce the key messages of the day in a fun and engaging manner.

Safe Mobility Scholarship Ceremony

The highlight of the day was the scholarship ceremony, where 33 scholarships and 10 bicycles were awarded to students. This initiative, supported by Ford Vietnam, not only provided assistance for students education but also encouraged students to pursue their futures while emphasizing the importance of safe mobility.

The Road Safety Day concluded on a positive note, leaving participants inspired and better informed about the critical importance of road safety. The NTSC and Hai Duong TSC look forward to continuing their efforts to promote safe practices within the community and ensure that the message of road safety resonates with all.
