CAIRNS, Australia – September 18 – 21, 2023

The Australasian Road Safety Conference (ARSC) 2023 concluded successfully, leaving attendees and participants with renewed inspiration and knowledge to build safer roads and mobility systems for all. Since 2015, the ARSC, which is hosted by the Australasian College of Road Safety in collaboration with Austroads, aims to present current research and best practices in road safety and bring together road safety decision-makers to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.

This year, the ARSC 2023 brought together approximately 600 road safety professionals and practitioners around the world, who participated both online and offline, to share initiatives and experiences to make every journey safer, more accessible, and more sustainable.

Mai Tran and Quyen Bui, both Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinators at AIP Foundation, took the stage to present two captivating abstracts of the recent work of AIP Foundation: ‘Promoting Cycling Safety for Children in Vietnam’ and ‘Achieving Equity in Quality Helmet Access for Children in Vietnam.’ These presentations drew in the audience with inspiring stories of success and accomplishments from the ongoing programs safeguarding lives across Vietnam.

Quyen Bui, from AIP Foundation, shared, “Participating and presenting at ARSC was a big honor for me as it has broadened the horizon of many participants and created a significant space for road safety professionals and practitioners to open up to new ideas and collaboration opportunities, spreading more significant interventions and saving more lives on the roads”.
