As part of our ongoing Helmets for Kids program in Thailand, AIP Foundation staff held a stakeholder meeting at Wat Chong Nonsi School, Bangkok, to discuss the program’s progress and sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the school.
The meeting began with a brief report on the program activities implemented since November 2017. Attendees also discussed a number of topics including future collaboration between government agencies, AIP Foundation and the school, to address existing challenges and further improve the safety of students and families in the community. At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AIP Foundation and Wat Chong Nonsi School.
The meeting was presided over by Acting Sub. Lt. Chuphon Tonmanee, Head of Yan Nawa District’s City Law Enforcement Section and attended by representatives from the Department of Education, Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Bang Pongpang Police Station, Road Accident Victims Protection Company Limited, Wat Chong Nonsi School, and the Parent Network of Wat Chong Nonsi School.
The Helmets for Kids program aims to increase helmet use among children, teachers and parents to better protect them from head injury and raise public awareness of the importance of child quality helmet use and is supported by Grab Thailand.
