WRI Speed Management Workshop Bangkok LDP #Fongpapia November 2017
Chairperson of AIP Foundation Thailand Ratanawadee H. Winther attends the Speed Management Workshop organized by the World Resources Institute.

Together with representatives from the Legal Development Program (LDP), we attended the Speed Management Workshop organized by the World Resources Institute (WRI) at the Traffic Police Division in Bangkok. The objective of the workshop was to discuss risk factors for road crashes in Bangkok, how to reduce speeding-related crashes, speed management in Bangkok, and success stories for road safety interventions. #Fongpapia, a media advocacy campaign that was part of our Slow Down to Save Lives program and successfully called for the establishment of safe speed zones in Bangkok, was one such example discussed.

In attendance were representatives from local and international road safety organizations, including AIP Foundation, World Health Organization (WHO), the World Bank, Chulalongkorn University, the Royal Thai Police, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
