85 teachers in Phnom Penh trained on road safety curriculum for Safety Delivered school activities

Teachers from two primary schools in Phnom Penh participate in a road safety training workshop.

As part of the Safety Delivered program, AIP Foundation staff trained 85 teachers from Preak Leap and Hun Neang Trabeck Primary Schools on a curriculum to teach road safety to their students in the coming semester. The two-day workshop aimed to increase teachers’ understanding of the importance road safety as well as increase their capacity to work with their students. The main topics covered during the workshops included basic road safety concepts, correct helmet use, and the practical implementation of road safety lessons in the classroom. On completion of the training workshops, the teachers were confident in their ability to conduct road safety extracurricular activities and lessons that will keep their students safe on the road. The Safety Delivered program is supported by The UPS Foundation.
