NGC Training January 2017
Teachers train their students in helmet safety prior to the official launch of the Helmets for Kids program in Uttaradit Province.

In preparation of launching a new Helmets for Kids program in Uttaradit Province, AIP Foundation trained more than 350 teachers, students, and parents from an agricultural community on helmet safety. The Natural Growth Co., Ltd., an organic rice distributor, is sponsoring the initiative. Vespiario (Thailand) Co., Ltd., also donated 300 helmets to participants.

The activity began by familiarizing teachers with the specially designed road safety curriculum. Teachers then used their newfound knowledge to educate their students. They were also empowered to bring their own ideas and creativity to the lessons. More than 200 parents, most of who are members of Laplae Agricultural Cooperative, were also taught about the road crash situation in Thailand, the importance of wearing helmets, and how to properly wear a helmet.

The Helmets for Kids program will launch on 17 January, 2016 at Thairath Wittaya 5 School. It will work with more than 10,000 community members.
