Sharing knowledge and hands-on experience is at the core of global road safety improvement. The webinar was organized by the Asian Development Bank – Transport (ADB), Asia Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) and International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP).
Mr. Greig Craft, AIP Foundation and AA Vietnam Founder and President, and Mr. Jimmy Tang, AIP Foundation Development and Strategic Partnerships Manager, led the session on vulnerable road users and presented our Slow Zones, Safe Zones program, highlighting practical examples and lessons learned from the field.
Module 2 of the Road Safety Capacity Building Program has focused Safer Road Users. The event kicked off with introductory remarks by Mr. Blaise Murphet, GRSP Asia Pacific Consultant. His remarks were followed by Dr. Judy Fleiter, GRSP Global Manager who discussed the topic of understanding road traffic risks for road users.
The programme is intended to build capacity and technical knowledge relating to: (i) Road Safety Management and Safer Road Users, (ii) Embedding evidence-based road safety interventions into transport projects, and (iii) The development of ‘system-based’ road safety projects, including the key role of management and resource mobilization.
