FedEx Express, in collaboration with Safe Kids Vietnam and AIP Foundation, celebrated International Walk to School Month and launched this year’s Walk With FedEx Tour. The event included a parade of students and representatives walking to school to support the International Walk to School Month, which was held in parallel with walks around the world. More than 1,000 people, including students, teachers, parents, school administrators, government officials, media representatives, celebrity ambassadors, FedEx volunteers, and community leaders also participated in the day’s activities. The Ho Chi Minh Department of Education and Training, Bureaus of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh City, and primary schools will organize similar events in 24 districts across Ho Chi Minh City to further promote “International Walk To School Month.” These events will take place from October to November 2017.

This celebration also kicked off the Walk With FedEx Pedestrian Safety Tour for the 2017-2018 school year, which will bring pedestrian safety education, equipment, and materials to over 30,000 students across 28 primary schools located along a busy busy corridor in Districts 1, 5, and 6 of Ho Chi Minh City. Taking place from October 2017 to May 2018, the Walk with FedEx Tour will feature activities like a training session for school coordinators, Safety Day events at each beneficiary schools, and distribution of FedEx and Safe Kids-branded education materials.
